40 years of success

We were born out of a dream and over the years we have developed into an outstanding company driven by the commitment of those of us who make up GMV. As a start-up at the beginning, diversification allowed us to expand our activities, grow, and achieve excellent competitiveness to gradually consolidate our position in multiple areas and become one of the main players in the sectors where we operate. 1998

GMV supplied, for the first time, the complete control center for a telecommunications satellite (Eutelsat’s SESAT and RESSAT satellites)
GMV became one of the prime contractors for EGNOS, having won the contract to develop the processing center and other key system components
Development of the first SMS-Internet gateway in Spain for Airtel
Internal security center for the Spanish Navy’s F-100 frigates

1999

GMV began work on the initial design phases of the future European navigation system, Galileo
Development and maintenance of the scientific operations system for ESA’s XMM-Newton satellite
C3I command and control system for the Spanish Army’s Field Artillery Command

Internet security for Telefónica Data, the Regional Government of Castilla y León, the Spanish Ministry of Defense, and other companies and institutions

2000

Successful completion of the EGNOS testbed
Development of the ECS/ETC system for the Eurofighter Typhoon
Perimeter security for BANESTO, Universia (Banco de Santander), and Supercable de Andalucía

2001

ESA commissioned GMV to develop the mission control system for Cryosat
GMV developed the orbital dynamics and mission planning systems for the Eumetsat Polar System (EPS)
CAD/AVL system for Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona’s metropolitan fleet
Perimeter security for the Spanish Ministry of Economy and the Bank of Spain

2002

Eutelsat awarded GMV a contract to develop a new multi-mission, multi-platform control center to manage its entire fleet (Neo SCS)
Launch of the ENVISAT observation satellite, with significant involvement in both the ground and flight segments
High-performance mail system for the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha
CAD/AVL systems for public transportation in Tenerife (TITSA), Gijón (EMTUSA), and Sabadell

2003

GMV began the implementation phase of the COROT mission center
Remote monitoring system for Spanish Navy vessels
GMV began work on the development of the regional on-demand transportation system for the Regional Government of Castilla y León
Perimeter security and internet access node for the Spanish Ministry of Finance

2004

Arabsat selected GMV to develop the control centers for the Arabsat 4A and 5B satellites, later followed by the 5 and 6 series
Launch of the Rosetta probe to the comet 67P/Churyumov, for which GMV provided navigation and guidance analysis and orbit control support
Development of the Vodafone Live! platform, a project including hardware, software, installation, setup, and maintenance services
EADS-CASA commissioned GMV to develop the control laws and software for the in-flight refueling system of its Airbus A-330 MRTT tanker aircraft

2005

SES selected GMV to provide the control centers for the Astra 1M and 2B satellites, followed shortly by those for NSS12 and A3B
Provision of four key Galileo ground infrastructure systems and major involvement in the engineering and design of the overall system
Development of an e-government platform for the Regional Government of Castilla y León and a website for the Autonomous University of Barcelona
Automatic identification system (AIS) networks for the ports of Puertos del Estado AIS networks in Macronesia (Canary Islands, Azores, and Madeira)

2006

NASA selected GMV to develop the mission planning system for its Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO)
Systems development for the Tiger helicopter and the A-400M aircraft, and development of the EADS CASA C-295 mission system for Portuguese maritime surveillance
Passenger information system and on-board CAD/AVL system for Transports Municipals de Barcelona (TMB)
GMV’s ATM security product, checker, was installed throughout Bradesco’s network in Brazil

2007

Star One, South America’s largest satellite operator, selected GMV to supply the complete ground system for its Brasilsat satellites
Virtualized mail platform and collaboration tools for staff and students at the Autonomous University of Madrid
Control and management system for RENFE’s entire fleet of freight, AVE, and long-distance trains
I*Net model infrastructure for the Spanish Ministry of Defense
