We were born out of a dream and over the years we have developed into an outstanding company driven by the commitment of those of us who make up GMV. As a start-up at the beginning, diversification allowed us to expand our activities, grow, and achieve excellent competitiveness to gradually consolidate our position in multiple areas and become one of the main players in the sectors where we operate. 2008

NASA’s Landsat mission planning system and start of development of GOES-R orbital dynamics system for NOAA
GMV launched the first free software-based Blackberry corporate email connector on the market
Passenger information system for Gdansk, Poland and ticketing and validation system for Montevideo, Uruguay
Unified management system (QMS and ISMS) for the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha

2009

Development started on the ground segment, the mission control and processing segment, and the scientific operations of the WSO-U observatory
Development of the flight control computer for the Atlante UAV
Control and management system for RENFE’s entire fleet of commuter and medium-distance trains
GMV’s ATM security product, checker, was adopted by BBVA

2010

GMV became the world’s leading independent supplier of ground control systems to commercial telecommunications operators
Modernization of the ground segment for NASA’s Telemetry and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS) in a project led by General Dynamics C4 Systems
Framework contracts with ESOC for the development of on-site operational support systems in various areas of its ground segment and satellite operations
Passenger information and management systems for public transportation in Szczecin and Czechowice, Poland

2011

MELCO (Mitsubishi Electronics) awarded GMV a contract to develop the ground segment for satellites 4A and 4B of the Turkish satellite operator Türksat
Contract awarded for the real-time passenger information system, including a control center, for part of Warsaw’s tram fleet
ATV-2 Johanes Kepler successfully docked with the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) using the flight dynamics system developed and operated by GMV
GMV’s ATM security product, checker ATM Security, became a global benchmark

2012

Design of the mission operations system for the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) program run by Europe’s meteorological satellite agency, EUMETSAT
GMV was appointed as prime contractor for the transition of the EUROSUR network from the pilot project to an operational environment
Inauguration of platform-art©, Europe’s first robotics lab for ground testing of guidance, navigation, and control systems
ESA selected GMV to perform a cybersecurity risk analysis for the different types of space missions it carries out

2013

Design of the mission operations facility (MOF) for the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) program run by Europe’s meteorological satellite agency, EUMETSAT
GMV is appointed as prime contractor for the transition of the EUROSUR network from the pilot project to an operational environment

2014

The precise orbit determination service for the European Union’s Copernicus Earth observation program went operational
The Rosetta spacecraft, for which GMV played a key role in flight dynamics and science operations planning, deployed a lander on an asteroid
Faro Corporativo, developed for the BBVA Group and implemented in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, and Venezuela, began its deployment in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, and the United States
GMV developed and implemented a corporate car sharing system for ALD Automotive, the fleet management and leasing company of the Societé Génerale Group

2015

Contract with EDP Distribuição (now E-REDES), Portugal’s electricity distributor, to provide satellite monitoring services for electricity transmission lines
Development of the electronic control unit (ECU) for the crane system of the Airbus A-400M aircraft
Supply to Alstom of the CAD/AVL and passenger information system for the new light rail line being built in Sydney

2016

Design, development, validation, and deployment of the Mission Control and Operations (MCO) sub-segment of the ground system for the EUMETSAT Polar System Second Generation (EPS-SG) program
The operations center set up by GMV for the Spanish space object tracking and surveillance system (S3T) was officially inaugurated
The European External Action Service (EEAS) awarded GMV a framework contract for the maintenance, support, and updating of the EU’s European Command and Control Information System (EUCCIS)
GMV won a contract to supply, install, and integrate all ITS equipment and software for all public transportation buses in the Republic of Cyprus

2017

GMV is involved in the European Commission’s strategic research cluster on space robotics technology, coordinated by the PERASPERA project
